| PMTCT program started
in the month of April 2006. This is a pilot project
first of its kind in Nigeria where HIV/AIDS component
has been integrated in to Primary Health Care. The
uniqueness of the program is that it is rural based.

| PMTCT Program in Adana
|
- HIV/AIDS program has been integrated
in to Primary Health Care program.
- The PMTCT program is functional is 9
Health Posts and so far more than 350
pregnant mothers and partners have been
counseled and tested for HIV.
- Eight HIV positive clients have been
identified. Out of the eight clients,
four clients are accessing free antiretroviral
treatment.
- Entered in to partnership of APIN (AIDS
Prevention Initiative, Nigeria). This
is a Federal Government of Nigeria Program
through USAID.
- SACA (State Action Committee on AIDS),
Oyo State have chosen TCF as technical
partner for preparing their 5 year (2007
- 2012) strategic plan on HIV/AIDS
