TCF and TYDF: Delivering Safe Drinking Water in Taraba State

Since 2009, Tulsi Chanrai Foundaiton has partnered with Nigeria’s esteemed TY Danjuma Foundation to deliver safe drinking water to under-served rural communities in Taraba State.

In Phase I of the Taraba State intervention, TCF together with TYDF rehabilitated 56 Hand-Pumps in 3 Local Government Areas: Lau, Bali, and Takum. The successful completion of Phase I has already brought safe drinking water to an estimated 28,000 people in Taraba State.

In Phase II, which is currently underway, TCF has completed a baseline inventory survey on handpumps in 4 selected Local Government Areas in Taraba State: Ardokola, Gassol, Wukari and Gashaka. Survey results are currently under review in advance of further hand-pump rehabilitation in Taraba State.
